Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.(2 Cor 5:17 KJV)

ou've made some mistakes and you don't know how to correct them or you just don't know which way to turn in a major decision. Perhaps you are wondering "how can I ever get out of this rat race or off this tread mill of life that keeps repeating the same routine day in and day out".

I don't promise to give you a quick and easy answer but I do know a way you too, can have a 'New Beginning'.  Sound too good to be true?  It's so simple that it's hard.  It's hard because you have a real enemy that is sooo good at lying, that you don't think you want what really is good for you.  It's not popular, you will lose acceptance from friends and family and definitely you will not have fun anymore.  Or, so you are made to think.  Because in reality, those are nothing more then lies used to keep you from the truth.

Let me ask you, "Do you keep searching for 'the way', some sort of enlightenment that fills that void in your life, but you don't exactly know what it is?"  Perhaps you have tried a form of religion like New Age or Zen Buddhism, or perhaps it was a more scientific approach, like Numerology or Astrology.  Although they seem to have some answers, you are still left with that nagging feeling that something is missing.  Sound like you?  It was me at one point in my life.

The 'truth' kept seeking me out, while I was seeking it.  All the while it was right under my nose, I thought that it was no answer at all.  I would lose my identity if I gave in.  I wouldn't be able to do the fun things everyone else did that was considered 'acceptable'.  It represented too strict a way of life.  This kind of thinking almost killed me.  In the process of doing my own thing, I tried to commit suicide and my life was almost taken.  I paid a price for not wanting to give in.  After all, doing your own thing is what everyone else was doing and all I wanted was to fit in and have people like me.  It takes courage to face the 'truth' and not be swayed by what other people will think of you or by what they are doing.  It takes courage to admit you need help and that drugs, suicide or sex provide a temporary relief but never and I mean never, will provide a life fulfilling answer to the pain you wish you could get rid of.

That answer was my 'New Beginning' as I sought God.  It was God that led me to Jesus.  Ever heard of that expression 'Jesus saves'?  Well, I am living testimony to that.  He not only has saved my life but my soul as well.  Many people think there is only one God but many different paths to finding him.  I have tried some of those different paths and I can promise you, that is not true.  There is only one way to God and that is through His son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  If you want to know God, you need to know His son.  Think about it.  If you wanted to know the person down the street, would you go to his school teacher or to his next door neighbor?  They may know about him, but they don't know him intimately the way someone who lives with him, like a son.

Although there are many different religions that promise a way of knowing God, there is only one that provides His son as the way.  That way, although recognized as a religion, is more truthfully, a personal experience.  Something you do not find in a building or a person but rather within yourself.  Your walk with God is not dependant on going to a building or listening to a person's teaching, but rather on your own recognition of your need for Jesus and asking Him into your heart to help you live for Him.  You admit you need help by asking for forgiveness for all your sins and then believing that Jesus died for that very reason.  This is what I meant that it is so easy it's hard.  Admitting there is a void in your life or that you need help, means getting past your pride and that's not easy.

The Lord promises that "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Cor. 5:17)
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Num 23:19)

Therefore if God promises that you have a new beginning in Christ and He is not a liar, then why not believe Him.  It's in the bible.  Why not look for yourself.  The bible is God's love letter to you.  It's the best way to get to know Him and His son, Jesus Christ.  I recommend starting with the New Testament, as that is how you become familiar with Jesus and what He represents.  I dare you to prove the New Testament to be wrong, by reading it from beginning to end and then asking the Lord that if indeed He is real, for Him to prove Himself to you as you read!
